About the Presenters
Lynn Barry (Olivier), MSW, RSW
Lynn has worked for 23 years as a child welfare investigator. She has produced many multi-media training programs and teaches child abuse workshops across Canada.
Linda Anderson, MSW, RSW
Linda is the Coordinator of the Child Abuse Service, Alberta Children's Hospital and has been a sessional instructor in the Department of Social Work, Mount Royal College. Linda has worked with families and children dealing with issues of maltreatment for the past 18 years.
Peter Johnston
Peter was with the Calgary City Police for over 25 years where he earned a reputation as a skilled and compassionate child abuse investigator. He was a police trainer with the Crowfoot Academy.
Dr. Terry Pezzot-Pearce, Ph.D.
In 1982, Dr. Pezzot-Pearce established an independent practice in child clinical psychology where she works with maltreated children. She also provides consultation to professionals in child custody assessment and other clinical issues.
Dr. John Pearce, Ph.D.
Dr. Pearce joined the Child Abuse Program at the Alberta Children’s Hospital in 1982 as the Clinical Coordinator of the program. He is now the Coordinator of Training for the Section of Psychology at ACH and is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology at U of C.
Jonathan Nicholson, LLB, M.Sc, B. PE
Jonathan is the Team Leader of the Crown Counsel in Family Law. Prior to that he had a private law practice for 10 years and was a public school teacher. He is a past Director for the Canadian Society for the Investigation of Child Abuse.
